Like so many business owners I’d thought that being my own boss would give me more flexibility and time to spend with the kids – but within months I had too much business and was working round the clock to meet my client’s needs.
I knew I needed to hire people, but before I could do that I had to get organised, put systems and processes in place, and work out exactly ‘who’ I needed to hire. I was so busy that I simply didn’t know where to start…
I started working with Maestro in mid-2020 (about a year in). I hadn’t been looking for a coach – I was too busy just keeping all the balls in the air. I met Emily through a networking group I’m part of. I liked her energy, had heard great things from other business owners she’d worked with and knew that because she had a professional services background she would get my business model.

Not only could they help create a plan and roadmap for the business, so that I hired the right people for the right roles, they were able to design and implement the systems and processes the plan needed to succeed.
Six months in and my world has changed. I’ve hired two people, have a CRM, systems and processes in place, and a pathway for moving forward.
There really is light at the end of the tunnel. I feel positive, confident and in control and am on the way to achieving the work/life balance that we all seek. I have the team of maestros supporting and guiding me in executing the plan and continuing to scale the business.
They’re people who I trust and can bounce ideas off of. They’re not ‘yes men’– they give me direction, make me feel uncomfortable in a good way and help me do the things I don’t want to do, but need to do to move forward.
